Before your child starts

  1. Let your child write the number in expanded form before any operation with regrouping.
  2. Use objects or group drawings for multiplication and division.
  3. Ask whether the answer is reasonable before checking the answer key.
  4. Split the worksheet into three short sessions if concentration drops.
