Arabic reading exercises with answers — 1st grade of primary school
18 short activities: sounds, letters and words, followed by sentences and two vowelled stories. Parents read the instructions; children read the target material.
Before your child starts
- Read the instructions to your child without reading the target word or sentence for them.
- Let them point to each word and move from right to left.
- If they struggle, remind them of the first sound or break up the word without giving the answer directly.
- Split the worksheet into three short sessions and stop after clear progress.
Sound and letter stage
Hear the sound, connect it to the letter and build the word.
